Tip of the Week - Don't Ignore the Benefits of Coconuts!

  Coconuts are a wonderful tropical fruit that have many benefits besides topping a cake or being added to your favorite ambrosia recipe.  Not only is the meat of the fruit high in protein, it's also good at destroying intestinal parasites.  The milk of the coconut is also good for kidney and urinary bladder problems.  Because of the protein content, it can help you build muscles while working out.  And coconut oil can be used on your skin, hair and scalp to help soften skin and make your hair shinier and softer.  You can also buy coconut oil to cook foods and bake with as you would other oils.  Who doesn't have fun trying to open a coconut?  You can cut the meat up and eat it or you can shred it to put into homemade recipes.  For more information about the benefits of coconuts, and coconut oils here is a link to a site I found that was interesting to read.
