Free Amazing Cakes Kindle Edition

    Here is another free cookbook to download at Amazon.com.  I just downloaded this one and it's got some great cakes in this book.  There is a recipe for making a cake that looks like a sushi roll, one that looks like Elmo and another that looks like a 3D penguin.  There are several others just like these in the book and if you enjoy making extravagant cakes that everyone will love, you'll love this book.

HLNB Exercise and Core Strength Challenge - Day 29

November 29th Day 29:   Yesterday I focused on my arm and leg exercises while I watched  "Friends" with following stats:

Biceps Curls with 3 lbs 12 reps 5 sets
Triceps Press 3 lbs 12 reps 5 sets
Standing V Raise 3 lbs 12 reps 5 sets
Triceps Extensions 3 lbs 12 reps 5 sets


Inner Thigh Kicks 12 reps 5 sets
Outer Thigh Kicks 12 reps 5 sets
Reverse Leg Kicks 12 reps 5 set

    I ate some strawberries, cherries, raspberries and drank 100% fruit juices with my meals.  I also had a salad in the afternoon with spinach. We had some whole wheat pasta with homemade marinara sauce that had onions, tomatoes, jalapenos and garlic.

November 28th Day 28:   Yesterday I focused on my arm and leg exercises while I watched  "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" with following stats:

HLNB Exercise and Core Strength Challenge - Day 27

November 27th Day 27:   Yesterday was another nice day so my husband and I went for another walk and logged 4 miles again.  I also watched a DVD of Bridget Jones's Diary.








    I ate some strawberries, cherries, zucchini and some stuffing that had onions and celery. I also drank 100% fruit juices with my meals.

November 26th Day 26:   Yesterday it was a nice day outside so my husband and I went for a walk and we walked 4 miles. I watched Friends again last night it was the episode with Charlie Sheen as a guest star.  It was a great episode.








    I ate some cherries, strawberries, a salad and some 100% fruit juices. I didn't make the 7 servings of fruits and vegetables today.

Thanksgiving Beauty Tips

    Now that Thanksgiving is over, you may be wondering what to do with your leftovers.  You can feel less guilty about eating more food if you realize the benefits of those leftovers.  Cranberries, pumpkin and sweet potatoes are all great for your body and skin.  Here's an informative video from BellaTV that you will find helpful and interesting.  You no longer have to worry about too much food left over from Thanksgiving!

Fashion Friday - Celebs and Their Hats

   This is the season for hats.  Celebrities love their hats too and today I'm posting pictures of some of our favorite celebs from yesterday and today wearing their hats.  Do you prefer the classic looks, or the cutting edge modern look?  Which ones are your favorites? Would you wear any of these hats? 


     Marilyn Monroe wore this large floppy hat with a pretty flower attached.  Even in black and white, it's a beautiful hat.


                                
                                       Natalie Wood looked so playful in this cute red, motor boat hat.


      
                            Audrey Hepburn wore this famous hat with grace and class in Breakfast at Tiffany's.




    Sarah Jessica Parker wears many hats, and in this spanish style hat she looks like a classic beauty.




     Her Royal Highness, Princess William of Wales, formerly known as Kate Middleton, wears many hats and she looks great in them all.  This pretty hat is worn on the side with a gold flower holding it steady.  It looks outstanding with her beautiful brunette hair.
                



Gwen Stefani wears a grey top hat with a ribbon wrapped around it.  Her pretty blonde hair offsets the grey hat so well.  And her silver necklace pulls the entire ensemble together.





    We can't forget Katy Perry's hot pink floppy hat.  It looks great with her dark hair, we know Katy's signature color is pink and we can see why!




    Victoria Beckham is wearing a hat that is covering her eyes.  Not sure if she can see where she is going but the hat looks great.  I think it would look better if it were pulled back a little bit.  What do you think?





   Denise Richards wears a brown hat that covers her face from the sun and the dark brown strap around the hat matches her brown open toe shoes.  It looks great on her.




    Last but not least, we have Lady Gaga in her own unique hat.  She is one who wears the hats of the future and no one else can wear them like she does.  Don't you love her style? And of course her music too.

November 24th Day 24:   Yesterday I rode my stationary bike while watching a repeat episode of "Friends" with the following stats:

Time on the bike:  31 minutes and 20 seconds
Distance: 6.03 miles
Speed:  between 11.5 and 12.5 mph
Total Calories burned: 150.60
Total Fat Calories burned: 47.00

     I ate some strawberries, some cranberry sauce, some potatoes and stuffing which had celery and onions.  I had a frozen smoothie popsicle.  I also drank some 100% juices with two of my meals. Note: I am eating more than I'm listing, I'm just listing fruits, vegetable and fiber foods.  I ate all the traditional Thanksgiving Day foods yesterday and not all are in these categories.

HLNB Exercise and Core Strength Challenge - Day 23

November 23rd Day 23:   Yesterday I took my pedometer with me while we walked with our dog.  We logged 4,231 steps which is just a little over 2 miles.

    I ate some strawberries and raspberries and also ate an avocado mixed with pico de gallo. I drank 100% juices with breakfast and lunch.  I had a veggie spring roll at dinner. We went to see Breaking Dawn and it was great! I enjoyed the movie and dinner out.

HLNB Exercise and Core Strength Challenge - Day 22

November 22nd Day 22:   Yesterday I rode my stationary bike while watching "Dancing With the Stars" finale episode and before I knew it, I had passed 7 miles so I decided to go for 9 miles last night.  Here were my stats:


Time on the bike:  46 minutes and 19 seconds
Distance: 9.16 miles
Speed:  between 11.5 and 12.5 mph
Total Calories burned: 226.00
Total Fat Calories burned:  70.60

    I ate some strawberries, some pico de gallo and another frozen smoothie.  I also drank 100%  fruit juices with all meals yesterday.  I was able to eat 6 servings of fruits and veggies.  I also had some Triscuits and some beans.


                                      Lady Antebellum performed two great songs last night.



         Carson Kressley got to perform Vogue for his return performance.  He looked like he had a great time and it was fun to watch.




                                                              Ricki and Derek placed 3rd.







                                                            Rob and Cheryl placed 2nd.





                         JR and Karina took 1st place.  It was an exciting night and the scores were close!
